In any society, Social Policies are made with the aim of saving and improving the Social Health of Society and implemented by specific programs. Social Work as a commen and prevalent profession, about 110 years ago in England, are trying to expand the Social Welfare for all people in societies and so eventually society could achieve the improved and accepted Social Health. In recent years the necessity of expanding Social Work Services in societies is acknowledged by all planers and policy makers for the achievement of growing and sustainable development. The view of Social Work profession is not just traditional definitions and empowering people but in the new vision of Social Work the outlook of this profession is social-oriented, and Social Workers besides the empowerment of people, should pay attention to development, change and social cohesion for achieving of Social welfare and respecting of differences. As previous years the third Tuesday of March is announced the International Social Work Day. In this year, the International Social Work Day is 21 of March and the first day of Farvardin in 1396 which is the Nowroz in Iran. We respect the coincidence of The International Social Work Day and Nowroz, we congratulate this day to the world wide society of Social Workers and hope that Social Workers are being successful in all aspects of their lifes.
Hopefully, this glory coincides ” The International Social Work Day and Nowroz ” will be caused the extra effort by the Social Workers in any place of the world and especially in Iran and in the near future we could see cohesive society without violence, racism, war, child abuse, destroying environment and … by the effort and empathy of all Social Workers all over the world.
